Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the expansion of modern media discussing how new forms of virtual communication influence the psychological reaction of the audience. A planetary medium, TV, has failed to delve deeply into the conceptual con- notations of people, and has only contributed to alienation. However, the TV has also given birth to some new communication forms. In this production, interactive video and personal computer websites have be- come prominent. However, in spite of the wide array of their functions, facilitating communication, a new kind of dependency has been made. More than ever in the past, modern man is exposed to virtual excitement keeping the nervous system in a state of high tension. For this reason, man loses the ability to orient himself in the outer world, becomes socially passive, more neurotic and provides an affective-tactile and psycho- mimetic response to the virtual stimuli. Yet, the consciousness so stimulized and this new sensibility become easy prey to instrumentalization, which aims to preserve the desired ideological patterns.
