Summary/Abstract: In article the role of career counselling in context of lifelong learning is presented. The main issues of career counsellor’s training across the Europe are reviewed. Also the preconditions for career counsellors training in Lithuania are discussed and developed methodology for identification of career counselling practitioners’ training needs is presented.
