PREDAJNO U TRAVNIČKOJ HRONICI
TRADITIONAL IN CHRONICLES OF TRAVNIK

Summary/Abstract: The author confined the term “traditional” to conceptual category and genre affiliation. Although Andric used both, the paper tried to determine how tradition was a motivating act not only for his work but also for the entire literary opus. The traditional culture was expressed through his characters (the paper mentioned ten of them). Gnomic and paremiological level of the work, in which traditional is very productive, were especially analyzed. Andric’s overview of Bosnian Franciscans’ works and activities was also observed at the traditional level.
