Category of Law in the Structure of Journalism Theory

Summary/Abstract: In the article the category of the law as a central element of journalism theory is considered. In opinion of the author, the theory cannot successfully develop without deep understanding of this category. Some useful experience in this respect has been collected in former decades, including journalism theory of the Soviet period. The author critically analyzes this experience, as well as other attempts to characterize the category of law. He offers the approach to the decision of a problem and the description of basic laws.
