Summary/Abstract: In today’s environment, financial services are a very important component of the modern business concept. Specific and very common field of business is insurance industry. The primary goal of all modern industries that offer different products and services is to satisfy growing customer needs (for high quality) as good as possible and all for an acceptable price. Over the past years, insurance industry is both dealing with very frequent natural disasters as well as with common human mistakes and claims and developing new products and ways of operation. There are many insurers around the world but Lloyd’s of London insurers are probably the most specific and the hardest to understand insurance market. Lloyd’s is the market, whose members (insurers) offer insurance for the newest, biggest and most complex risks and at the same time they offer the highest claims in the world. Risks that are insured by Lloyd’s these days are still “uninsurable” risks for most of the world insurance companies. The main goal of this paper is to try to analyze and present ways and principles of Lloyd’s business as well as secrets of 300-years successful business.
