Uncertainty reduction in tourism policy

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is the assessment of the possibility of tourism policy uncertainty reduction. The hypothesis was adopted that the use of modified version of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and Pareto rule can decrease the uncertainty in tourism policy. A deduction based on literature analysis and Rymanów Zdrój local level survey outcomes were used to test the hypothesis. The concept of uncertainty and its sources were analysed. Conclusions were related to tourism. Tourism policy uncertainty areas and means of that uncertainty reduction were specified. In the empirical part a new approach to generate destination competitive strategy options was presented.
