Spa services distribution structure vs. spa resort specialization. The framework of research and partial finding

Summary/Abstract: The objective of the article is to present the framework and preliminary findings of research on the relation between spa service distribution structure and spa resort specialization. Time series analysis, correlation and regression analysis were used, based on data from Local Data Bank and unpublished sets from Central Statistical Office of Poland. Empirical survey concerns 34 Polish spa communes (in general) and spa communes located in Podkarpackie Voievodeship from 2005 to 2014. For Poland there is strong and statistically significant negative correlation between spa service distribution structure and spa resort specialization level. However, positive correlation exists in Horyniec commune.
