International Theological Dialogue between the Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church

Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the history and theological values in the first phase of the International Theological Dialogue between the Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church in the years from 1981 to 2000. In particular, this article addresses the preparatory process of commencing the dialogue and producing common theological documents; and also discusses the most important problems in the dialogue, such as the problem of Uniatism and proselytism, which have dominated the subject matter of the dialogue since 1991.
