Summary/Abstract: After the end of warfare, Yugoslav partisans committed a number of mass crimes over the population of Lika., conducted primarily by members of OZN and KNOJ. After the completion of wartime operations in Croatia prison camps were formed in all major Croatian cities, and in Lika these were camps in Gospic and Otocac. In the vicinity of these cities there were executions of captured members of armed forces of NDH and of Wehrmacht. Post-war repression was also targeting real or imagined political enemies, frequently on the basis of scarce evidence, and it could take judicial or extrajudicial form. The intensity of these actions is captured in publications of lists of victims, which enumerate the killed citizens of Lika.
