Summary/Abstract: Personality rights are rights inherent to every human being and are acquired regardless of any of her actions. The right to private life is such a rights, and the new Civil code devotes to it the most extensive regulation. In light of these provisions, the right in question protects the intimate life, the personal life and the family life, the domicile, residence, correspondence (including the communications performed by telephone r other electronic means), the manuscripts, other personal documents as well as the information belonging to the private life of a person. The right to private life may, however, suffer limitations that are justified by the necessity of ensuring a balance with other rights (such as for example the freedom of expression), or by the preeminence of certain public interests (especially those imposed by the necessity of a proper administration of justice), or by the existence of the express or presumed consent of the person.
