The Portfolio Characteristics of Bulgarian Investment Funds

Summary/Abstract: The object of study in the article is the status of investment portfolios regarding Bulgarian investment funds, and its subject pertains to their portfolio management. The article concludes that despite the crisis situation, the collective investment industry in our country is developing. An increased investment in deposits, poorly diversified portfolios in monetary terms, investments mainly within the framework of the national capital market and the lack of investments in financial derivatives are exposed. All these reveal the lack of adequate and effective portfolio management in funds invested in securities in the country.
