Summary/Abstract: Nabokov’s and Bulgakov’s conception of art and creation are typologically related. The kinship manifests itself in the common for the both writers conception of creation where creative memory is the dominant of fiction, the art is a play and, simultaneously, the creator of the life; the writers is a demiurge who creates the fiction’s “second” reality, while the aim of the writing is to explore the mystic subcontext of existence.
