Summary/Abstract: In this essay I shall try to argue in defense of a certain version of creationism with respect to fictional utterances and entities. I shall argue that the only criterion for identifying an utterance as fictional is to identify the fictive intention behind that utterance. But since this is a complex and often impossible task, there are cases in which fictive intentions are ascribed to an author of a text according to certain conventions, without conclusive evidence that the author has actually had such an intention. This theory could be also applied to fictional entities, but with some restrictions which are necessary due to the difference between utterances and entities-utterances are part of the language, whereas entities are not.
