Ethics in front of the Challenges of Contemporaneity: The Section of “Ethics” (I.Ph.R., BAS) during the Last Decade

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present a synoptic review on the publications of section Ethics (IPR, BAS) in the last ten years (1996–2006). There are considered ten monographs. They research different problems and subjects in the field of contemporary ethics from bioethics, moral psychology, and communication to the interrelations between ethics and culture, ethics and politics etc. The review is accomplished in connection with some basic philosophical categories: body-psyche-culture-communication-politics. There are also noticed some key achievements and conclusions of each of these monographs which show their place amidst the contemporary ethical studies.
