Religion, Parties and Elections in Post-Communist Romania

Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the relation between religion and political life in post-communist Romania, from the perspective of the parties-election-religion trinomial. The parties-electionchurch relation it is illustrative for the way in which politicians used the church, as well as for the way in which religious leaders tried to influence the public life and the functioning of the democratic system.
