Summary/Abstract: The play called János Pájinkás by one of the most engaged, excellent authors, Péter Kárpáti was staged by three Hungarian theatres in the 2001/2002 season. The editor-in-chief of the paper Világszínház (World Theatre), Andrea Tompa points to the differences and similarities in the performances in Nyíregyháza (directed by Balázs Simon), in the Víg Theatre (Directed by Péter Forgács), and in the Janusz University Theatre (directed by Attila Szabó), while giving a short analysis of the satirical play built up by folktale motifs.
