Summary/Abstract: Four ethnic groups — Bulgarians, Greeks, Turks and Gypsies, take part in an empirical research. It has to make clear: a) what is the attitude of ado¬lescents belonging to different ethnocultural groups towards school as socialising factor, and b) what interdependencies exist between pupils atti¬tude to school and their subjective well-being there. The subjects are 1 325 pupils from 7th to 11th grade in different kinds of schools in Bulgaria and Greece. The pupils fulfil four psychological questionnaires. The research has taken place between 1995 and 1998 featuring adolescents from 14 to 18 years old.
