Summary/Abstract: The crisis of the transatlantic relations is a reality revealed by the Iraqi conflict. After the Second World War the main characteristic for the transatlantic relations have varied between mercantilism and ambiguity. September 11, 2003 brought a large solidarity followed too soon by a discovery of difference. The perception on Iraqi crisis can be definite as “two perceptions of the same reality”.
