Summary/Abstract: The Lisbon Treaty established the new institutions for the Common Foreign and Security Policy of European Union. A new structure is the European External Action Service (EEAS). The aim of this paper is to analyse the impact of EEAS’s setting-up for the EU role in international crisis management. This analysis will take into consideration three aspects: theoretical perspective; the point of view of public policy; and decision making process.
