Summary/Abstract: The strategic approach to provide highquality and affordable medical education in our university has moved up in the agenda precisely the participation of students more directly in research projects because of its relevance both to the emerging challenge posed by chronic diseases and to the patients‘ rights and expectation of citizens and because of the high interface between health and ethical issues.
