Civil (private) law: G.F. Shershenevich’s gospels and modernity

Summary/Abstract: On the basis of G.F. Shershenevich’s doctrine about private law as the civil right, the authors investigate modern problems of a subject and a method of civil and family legal regulation. Taking into account the revealed similarity in subjects and methods of the civil and family law, the conclusion about inexpediency of preservation of a family law as an independent branch of private law is drawn; it should be considered in the form of subsector of civil law.
