Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to connect two dimensions of studiem on Georg Simmel: reflection of his influence on the creation of sociology as a scholarly discipline as well as his interest In language and estheticism. In depth analysis of a chapter from Simmel’s seminal work “Sociology” the Author will present the existing correlation between the search for new areas for research and looking for a new language suitable for their description.
