Summary/Abstract: In my article I explore an issue which is part of the phenomena termed “men’s social movements”. Men’s social movements are new social movements in which actors focus on gender issues as the main criteria for building collective identity. Men’s movements are the “third wave” of gender social movement which arose in society in the second half of the XX century. In the first part of the paper the historical background of Polish phenomena as well as their forerunners (such as historial profeminists: Edward Prądzyński, Leon Petrażycki or Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński) are presented. The second part is dedicated to the presentation of research methodology and is followed by the analysis of research on three types of Polish men’s social movements: profeminist movement, fathers’ rights movement and groups Men’s Loop and St. Joseph Men belonging to the male spiritu- ality movement conducted between January 2009 and June 2011. The analysis refers to the organ- isational structures of the Polish men’s movements, actors, their goals and values as well as main methods of acting. The last part of the paper is a presentation of main conclusions and findings.
