Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to a problem of a ratio of the concepts «intelli-gentsia members» and «intellectuals». The theoretical methodological solution of this problem is proposed: there are no distinctions between intelligentsia members and intellectuals; they make a special social group — the intelligent-sia as a general historical public phenomenon (a class of managing directors).
