Summary/Abstract: The pace of growth of recognition of CSR in recent years and the increase of public awareness make it worthwhile to look for new team motivation instruments. Conscious development of organizations based on modern motivation instruments, keeping the balance between company profitability and the public interest do influence the bottom line. Thus they are not just some intangible investments, but strategic ones, bringing benefits to the shareholders. The economic slowdown, which alters the labour market, at the same time encourages companies to look for innovative employee motivation solutions. Building an organizational culture based on social values and volunteering often engages company’s business partners and customers, extending beyond the aspect of motivating only the management staff. Employee volunteering, robustly anchored to foundations of true business responsibility strategy and taking into account the public benefit in the organizational culture may successfully be a modern instrument of policy of motivation of the company staff.
