About the idea of social responsibility of family as an entity of social policy − some reflections

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays social responsibility is one of the fundaments of social order. The idea of building a society based on individuals and families responsible for themselves and for others is seen here; a society in which individual mobilization and participation are interwoven with the social solidarity, self-help, etc. This approach, reflected in many concepts and principles of social policy, constitutes an extension of the idea of social responsibility of families − one of many entities of social policy. This article presents some reflections on this topic. For the purposes of discussion the reference is made here to various forms of family activities and their real conditions that tend to balance responsibility for the fate of the family at all − its own and other entities (state, local governments, NGOs, etc.).
