Place of social services in social policy to family − conditions and dilemmas of development

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the fundamental factors for the development of social services to families and to present major dilemmas that arise in this context. These conditions relate to the social policy model, which should direct the development of social policy instruments, including social services, and the place and role of families in the implementation and realization of those benefits and basic social services − activating and integrating. The whole argument presented in the article should encourage the representatives of science and practice to seek unanimous, and consistent long-term development strategy of social services to families. The overall objective of this strategy should be a real improvement in the condition of Polish families.
