Summary/Abstract: Enterprises permanently look for a recipe for excellence. Sometimes they emphasize the “hard” aspects of management, other times – the “soft” ones. For many years, organizational culture has been an important aspect of improvement of an enterprise. Key values determine the company’s operations and at the same time they provide a basis for selecting the right managerial practices which foster an effective internalization of values by the company’s employees. This issue becomes of particular significance in multicultural organizations with a variety of different values. Moreover, those types of organizations need flexibility in the choice of methods and practices of management. The research study which was conducted in a subsidiary of a multicultural concern, points out the role of the cultural dimension in the process of improvement in an enterprise.
