Summary/Abstract: At the archaeological research of defunct medieval village Mstěnice were examined also small fortresses, which can be either besieged or serve as a forward fortifications. The archaeological findings date them to the mid-15th century and their connection with mili¬tary operations in the spring of 1468 is very likely. The archaeological findings confirmed siege, firearms and crossbows and military ride. There is no doubt that in the last days of existence of the Mstěnice here was the fight, which caused destroying of the fort, village and killed tens of horses and also some of people. It´s not possible to decide if it was the base of Czech soldiers, which was occupied by army of Matthias Corvinus or vice versa. However, it seems that this could be a military action which has not preserved in written sources until today, but it is documented only by archaeological sources.
