The Antiquity in the Bulgarian space according to Bulgarian and foreign authors from 16th c.

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to present some published data about the antiquity as archaeological heritage in the Bulgarian space according to the works of Bulgarian and foreign authors and travelers from 16th c. – the second one, when our nation survives without an own state under Ottoman rule. The understanding of “antiquity” is presented it the context of the philosophical trends and archaeological research, which used to have infl uence over the shaping of the historical sciences in Europe of that time.
