The Ancient city in the Bulgarian space in 19 C.

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to present some published data about the ancient town as an archaeological site in the Bulgarian space according to the works of foreign travelers and Bulgarian authors from 19 c. The understanding of a „town“ is presented at the context of the archaeological research of that time and the philosophical trends, which used to have influence over the shaping of the historical sciences in Europe and Bulgaria.
