Summary/Abstract: The present study proposes to address some aspects concerning euthanasia, cremation and burial. In present times a permanent solution is searched in order to ensure a more confortable life and a valid solution by which the passing in the afterlife can be controlled precisely with the help of modern medicine. Unfortunately, some of the proposed solutions are not in accordance with the principles of Christian morality. An example of this is the euthanasia, legalized in some states. Death regarded as one of the certainties oflife represented and still represents a phenomenon over which many historians, anthropologists and theologians have turned their attention. One of the analyzed perspectives was the burial rite used by several peoples and beliefs. Since Antiquity the funeral rite is the most commom one. With the spread of Christianity, the funeral was preferred to the process of incineration, because the las one has no biblical basis.
