Summary/Abstract: Process, function and form of communication, a means of persuasion, argumentation are essential for didactic communication, as are the foundation of the pupils’/students’ understanding of information/content submitted by the teacher. This paper draws attention on the argumentative competence of the teacher as a constituent of communicative competence and requisite of effective communication.
