The Expression of Children's Education in the Context of Foreign Culture: Situation and Evaluation

Summary/Abstract: This article analyses Lithuanian schools at the camps for the "displaced persons" in Germany in 1945-1950. The organised education of young people made it possible not only to get the secondary education, but also to get the opportunity to study at higher schools and to be sure to get the working place. The successfulness of the schools was due to the enthusiastic and selfless labour of the Lithuanian teachers and the education board. They were working purposefully: the curriculum had been organised in time. There had been rules of work, the guidelines of the tuition, the social activities of the pupils, the basic syllabuses for all the schools prepared.
