Summary/Abstract: Stating that the end of the national state is a false problem and that the national state will continue to exist, increasing its importance as the only space in which democracy can assert itself under public control, the author shows that what we need is a different approach to stability – the national horizon should change into a cosmopolitan one, a process imposed by the social, economic and political realities we live in.
