Summary/Abstract: Plotinus’ Thinking and the Impact of Neo-Platonism upon the Christian Thinking in the First Centuries. The Neo-Platonism was the second extremly powerful current, along with Gnosticism, witch had a significant impact over the Christianity and its values. Plotinus studied the philosophy at the great cultural center of that time - Alexandria. But, not satisfied by the philosophers’ schools from Alexandria, of the greatest fame, he arrives to the Ammonius Sakkas’ school, where, listening to him, he would have said: „He was the one I was looking for”. Herennius and Origene also studied with this great teacher. Then, Plotin arrives in Rome, where he revives Plato’s philosophy in the aristocratic social circles. With an equilibrated life, Plotin will still have mystical openings, searching for the touch of the transcendentalism. With his thesis about souls’ immortality, Plato imposes himself again through Plotin in the world of Ideas, world of witch the Christian philosophers inspired.
