Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present paper is to identify, describe and review the most significant themesengaged by the official historiography during the final years of Communist dictatorship inRomania. It is focused, as a case-study, upon the history review entitled “Lupta întreguluipopor” (“The Fight of the Entire People”) published in Bucharest between 1985 and 1989 andit argues that these themes had been un-marxist (or even anti-marxist) in their nature.
