Summary/Abstract: Summarizing important information from Hasdeu’s work and ideology, Ivănescu’s manuscript, bearing the name of this nineteenth century personality, highlights in a correct manner certain aspects of the Romanian cultural life of the time, from an evolutionary and comparative perspective. The few pages of the manuscript are preserved in the archives of the Library of the Romanian Academy, Iaşi subsidiary, the „G. Ivănescu” Fund at ms. 52, vol 7. Accompanied by a bibliography, they are dedicated to Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu’ work until 1870, included by Ivănescu in the „category of Romanian universal spirit” due to his rich activity in the fields of literature (he wrote poetry, short stories, novel, historical drama), culture, linguistics, folklore, but also as advisor and head of literary school. Influenced by the Russian and German culture, B.P. Hasdeu was a „dynamic personality” that would mark the literary and cultural life of Bucharest, advocating original literature, the importance of Romanian history and the promotion of the Romanian people’s creations.
