Contributions at archaeological repertory on Buzau County. Excavations and land evaluation on Călmătui river Valley

Summary/Abstract: From May 20 to June 28 2011, Buzău County Museum signed a contract for land evaluation with SC TECON SRL and conducted archaeological field surveys and micro‐excavations (1 x 1 m) on the valley of Călmăţui brook. Archaeologists identified on both left and right bank of the Călmăţui brook traces of human presence from many historical periods: Neolithic – Gumelniţa culture, first millennium AD – Sântana de Mureş culture, Middle Ages. The findings consists of pottery, bone remains and complexes of archaeological interest.
