The nature and importance of local partnership – the example of local action groups

Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article are local action groups as an example of local partnerships in Poland. Local action groups are not a new solution used to support the local development. The article is divided into three parts: first – the importance of local partnerships, second − local action groups as an expression of local partnership and third − functioning of local action groups in the Lodz Voivodeship.
