Payments to the state fund for the rehabilitation of disabled persons and grants for salaries as an instrument stimulating the employment of people wi

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the quota system and grants for salaries as the instruments stimulating employment of people with disabilities in Poland in years 2007-2012. In particular, the author verifies the effectiveness of these instruments in the employment growth in the protected and unprotected labour market. The study shows that the instruments are more effective on the unprotected labour market. Sheltered workshops were definitely negatively affected following the changes in the rules applicable to employment subsidies.
