Summary/Abstract: The autors define the foundamental elements of crisis situations and the problem of public meetings of citizens. Autors presents specific features of radio as a classic medium and its advantage related to reporting in crisis situations. Special consideration is given to public meetings of citizens as one of frequent crisis situations. The paper sets forth a model of radio reporting from public meetings of citizens. It also provides an analysis of journalistic genres used in reporting as well as elements influencing the promptness of radio reporting from various kinds of citizens’ public meetings.
