Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses three basic Jewish relationships to the European philosophic tradition: the Jewish Rationalists, especially of the Spanish Period, who held open dialogue with both Muslim and Christian Thinkers; The Mystics, or Revelationists, who were of a defensive insular position concerning Western intellectual culture; and the Intellectual mystics and Revelationists who held a limited dialogue.
