Summary/Abstract: The evolution of anti-Semitism is analyzed from its start as a religion based belief to a systematic racial prejudice and to a nationalist ideology, emphasizing the facilitating effect of these changes on the emergence of an eliminationist mentality. Parallels are drawn between the development of German ideological anti-Semitism and modern Islamic anti-Semitism, and the implications of these similarities for the emergence and acceptance of a new genocidal mindset.
