Summary/Abstract: The city is an open space in which multiple openings occur by integrating people, buildings, the social, political and economical aspects. In the city is undergoing a process of demythologization, which is a space containing at the same time cosy and outside. The city represents a bundle of social relationships founded on symbolic acts capable to restore the identity. Our work focuses on the analysis of citadinity in literature and how it relates to establishing the identity in Petru Popescu’ novel Prins.
