Summary/Abstract: The study of Neo-Eneolithic period around Bucharest and within Ilfov County began following the founding of the ‘Bucharest Archaeological Site’ in 1920 under the auspices of the National Museum of Antiquities directed by V. Pârvan Bucharest with the assistance of I. Andrieşescu. Since 1990 archaeologists have increased attention around Bucharest and within Ilfov County, but, unfortunately, this has been mostly through rescue excavations or surface research. Consequently there is an incomplete representation of the settlements types, complexes and material culture in the area.
