Summary/Abstract: In the paper we pay attention to the situation in Slovakia from the point of view of foreign companies which currently do their business in the country. Although the most frequently used foreign language is English some companies from German speaking countries prefer German language and in seeking for new employees they require German language knowledge from potential candidates.
