Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the semantic features of verbs in the English language and their impact on aspect and Aktionsart. Furthermore, the notions of aspect, stativity, duration, telicity and boundedness are analysed and associated in a new and different way. This study of progressive telic situations, i.e. progressive achievements and accomplishments gives a new insight into these two semantic features of verbs. In addition, the paper proves whether the feature of telicity can be combined with perfective and imperfective aspect. Moreover, the notions of telicity and boundedness and their mutual relations and influences are analyzed.
