Aspectual Oppositions in Romanian and English – Contrastive Analysis

Summary/Abstract: This paper attempts to define and explain aspectual oppositions and aspectual distinctive features of verbs in Romanian and English. The aim of this scientific research is to determine the existing correlations between the aspectual oppositions and aspectual distinctive features in Romanian and English. It is of great importance to establish the similarities and differences in the systems of the mentioned languages in order to contribute to an overall comprehension and standardization of approach and terminology in the grammatical traditions of the studied linguistic systems.
