The use of dynamic classification to assess changes in the financial condition of the food industry companies listed on the Stock Exchange in Warsaw

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to determine the trend of changes of financial condition of the food industry companies listed on the Stock Exchange in Warsaw and the separation of typological groups of objects with similar dynamics of the studied phenomenon. For the dy-namic classification there were used the features of trend and the distance matrix for cross-temporal data, based on which there was drawn the dendrogram of hierarchical classification of companies using the method of Ward. The analysis covers the period 2002-2009.
